Nothing annoys me more than when someone doesn’t get back to me when I have a question, issue, concern or whatever! Like right now I'm trying to track down someone at www.scratch-offstickers.com about my order placed on 10/15 that I have not received yet. I have emailed, filled out their contact form and just left a voicemail 10 mins ago. Needless to say I'm not happy! Grrrrrrr.
Communication in business is extremely important. Even more so when you are doing business online. Your customers cant just walk up and poke you in the arm to get your attention. So you have to be very careful that you aren't ignoring them. Emails should be answered in a timely fashion. I know spam is a big problem, but you simply cant have the luxury of those pretty nifty spam filters or spam blockers that everyone talks about. People use all types of email services for their email accounts, what happens if they get lost in your spam folder? And certainly don’t set up any automatic delete for spam because what if a new customers email has words that cause it to be flagged as spam? Poof its deleted. Gone forever right along with your new customer.
Ok, you can stop yelling at me now. Yes it is annoying but it’s all part of the price of doing business.
A website contact us form is a good way to keep the communication open, as long as it works that is. You should check your website contact form periodically just to make sure its still working. Don’t laugh, I'm serious. I have witnessed first hand contact forms just stop working. It happens sometimes, that's technology for ya. Better to be safe than sorry right??
Oh and last but not least, please make sure your mailbox isn’t full! Do you know what happens when someone tries to email you and your mailbox is full?? It bounces back. So, you don’t get it, the person that sent it gets it back, gets annoyed and moves on. Again, another potential lost customer or sale.
Times are tough all over right now, and I'm grateful for every bit of business I do get, I certainly don’t want to lose any. Checking on these few little things can make a difference.

It's hard to imagine an etailer who would treat a customer like that. But unfortunately, I also had a similar experience with an etailer who went on a LONG vacation without any notice of any kind, even on the website. Drove me nuts trying to figure out why I wasn't getting any response. Bad for business. As a very small etailer, I love and need my customers and encourage communication. It's a two-way street.

Looks like I too fell victim to the wonderful folks over at www.scratch-offstickers.com. I placed an order for 500 labels on 10-30-08 and emailed this lady twice spaced out weeks apart with NO response. I filed a complaint with PayPal so hopefully something gets resolved.

Nope still havent heard a thing. I did file a paypal dispute but havent heard back yet. Luckily it wasnt a great deal of money. I did find this place http://www.scratch-off-stickers.com/ and I placed a small order and got them in about a week, just in the nick of time for my Nov. 3 promtion. Give them a shot. I hope you get your money back from first place.
I filed my claim and hope it gets resolved too. I mean it wasn't alot of money but still. I always look for the good in people - I hope it's something stupid like they're computer exploded and they lost all their log in info. Not anything bad. Either way PayPay will take care of it. Looks like PayPal has sided with me on the case - but...she has no money in her paypal account so I get nothing! I didn't know this is how PayPal operated. I mean - don't they have her bank info? Boy I am happy. Found out who this women is though. I read the source code from her multiple sites and got her info from GoDaddy. Her name is Pam Farley and she lives in O Fallon, MO. Apparently she has like four websites out there. Her MySpace page lets you know what the sites are. All the contact numbers she has on her sites are either permanently busy or have been conveniently disconnected. I emailed her through all of her email addresses with...get this....no response. AMAZING. She had no problem taking my money and depositing it into her account. Way to go Pammy! I will have to file a small lawsuit this week - have my lawyer friend give her home a call. I know it's not much money but I reeeeealy don't like when people do this. By her pics and bio she seems like a normal Mom but I have no clue why she would do this. I also sent her a boat load of refund invoices though PayPal. I have a good feeling how that will end...no response.

Thats funny! I was just going to come post that paypal sided with me, but alas she scooped the money out of her paypal account so I didnt get a refund. Didnt she wonder how all the money got into her paypal account?? Crook! I hope she lives it up on my $12.75 LOL. Thats a couple cups of starbucks coffee at least. What she did is a dog thing to do no matter what the amount of money! Watch out for Karma Pam, they say its a bitch!
I wonder why I was logged in as Mary? Strange. Anyway I will keep you posted on the journey to get my $25 back. I won't give up until the funds are transferred. Have a good one.
