Brrr. Baby its Cold Outside

Brrrrr…. it’s a frosty 25 degrees here in beautiful Manasquan, NJ this morning. And of course I couldn’t find my gloves before I left the house. 20 scarves, 3 hats, and even a pair of earmuffs but alas no gloves. One thing in my favor however is the wonderful invention of Remote Start. So getting into the car wasn’t too bad. Especially without those gloves. I decided since is it freezing I would zip through McDonalds drive thru and get my delicious large cup of Premium Roast Coffee. Guess I’m not the only one with that idea today. The line was so long. I made a quick decision to actually get out of the car, freeze my butt off and go inside to get my coffee. Made sense right? I mean isn’t this how we used to do it?

With that mission accomplished it was time to continue on to work at Things That Make Scents/Lemming Central headquarters. (Cheap plug for my candle shop, but so what!) I then remembered that my hubby ask me to pick up some mega millions tickets. Its up to 270 Million dollars. So I had to get out of the warm car again… It’s a small sacrifice if I was to actually win 270 million dollars, so I trudged on. Plus it would make a good story when they interview me on the news.

Ok, I’m sure all you people up in Duluth, Minnesota where it is -9 degrees or Madison, Wisconsin where it is -3 degrees are saying “Suck it up Jersey Girl, 25 degrees is a heat wave for us” Being near the salt air must thin my blood, because 25 is damn COLD! My Dad moved from NJ to Florida a couple of years ago and now when I talk to him, he cries when it’s below 65 down there… I mean come on!! Just think how thin his blood must be now!

No worries, now I am at work and my fingers finally warmed up enough to type this post.
